Jean Jacques Rousseau wrote, ‘Man is born free; and everywhere he is in chains. One thinks himself the master of others, and still remains a greater slave than they.’

If man is enslaved on Earth, yet free in heaven, there has to be a suitable story to explain this from a well-informed standpoint. This is what Battery Farm delivers.

It is a study of where Jesus failed, of despotic and manipulative religions and the people behind them. It takes the reader all the way from the Big Bang to an exploration of the final destination of the human soul.

The Bible

Socrates said, ‘Someone who thinks that he can set down an art in writing, and equally someone who accepts something from writing as though it were going to be clear and reliable must be very simple minded . . . and when it (the written word) is faulted and attacked unfairly . . . it cannot defend itself or come to its own support’

Of course, we don’t know if this quote is genuine as Socrates never wrote anything down. It was Aristotle who wrote this later on his behalf.

This is the risk we run when accepting secondary evidence - written on behalf of someone else after the event - as primary evidence.

Either way the Bible, as an 'art in writing', is open to misinterpretation on a daily basis by Christian sects. But just how ambiguous is the Bible? Here are some quotations to show the darker side of the Holy Book.
